Moral of the Story

Kindness and patience are always rewarded.

The timeless story of a kind-hearted girl who, despite her stepmother's cruelty, finds her way to the royal ball and wins the heart of a prince.

The Story

Once upon a time, in a faraway kingdom, there lived a gentle and kind girl named Cinderella. Her mother had passed away when she was young, and her father had remarried a cold-hearted woman with two selfish daughters.

Cinderella was made to cook, clean, and do all the chores while her stepsisters wore fine clothes and went to parties. No matter how hard things got, Cinderella remained kind and never lost hope.

One day, the king announced a grand royal ball. Every young woman in the kingdom was invited — including Cinderella. But her stepmother forbade her to go, forcing her to stay home and finish all the housework.

As Cinderella wept by the fireplace, her Fairy Godmother appeared in a shimmer of light. With a wave of her magic wand, she transformed a pumpkin into a gleaming golden carriage, mice into white horses, and Cinderella's worn dress into the most beautiful gown in the land, with glass slippers to match.

"You shall go to the ball," said the Fairy Godmother, "but you must return before midnight, for the magic will break when the clock strikes twelve."

At the palace, Cinderella danced with the prince all evening. He had never met anyone so gracious and kind. But as the clock began to strike midnight, Cinderella fled in a hurry, losing one of her glass slippers on the palace steps.

The prince searched the entire kingdom, trying the slipper on every young woman. When he came to Cinderella's house, the stepsisters tried in vain — but the slipper fit Cinderella perfectly.

The prince recognized her at once. Cinderella and the prince were married, and she forgave her stepmother and stepsisters, for that was the kind of person she truly was.

And they all lived happily ever after.
